Projects

‘My’ work resists finality—it is porous, unfinished, and always composting itself in dialogue with the sensorial world and the presences, human and more-than-human, that shape it. Rooted in collaboration, it draws artists who seek not only craft, but intimacy, transformation, and entanglement. Together, we enter processes that exceed individual control, where attention becomes a form of care, and the work becomes a shared threshold rather than a product.

Earth Body Place Project

A project by Camille Litalien and Peter Francyk

An Invitation to Pause and Listen...

Earth body place is a collaborative performance and research project, rooted in somatic inquiry, mythic memory, and site-responsive dance. Co-created with movement artist and educator Peter Francyk, the project invites performers and audiences alike into participatory rituals of remembrance.

We ‘dance’ to reach beyond personal biography—into ancestral, cellular, and ecological memories. Our process begins in the mythologies and stories of a specific place. These myths are allowed to simmer. Dreaming is part of the methodology. Dancers respond spontaneously to the sensory landscape and the felt memory of the site.

We work outdoors—listening, attuning, surrendering to the non-human—and then move indoors to shape what has emerged. The result is often a performance event in which the boundary between spectator and performer dissolves. The place speaks, and we become its listeners.

Journeys

A project initiated by Camille Litalien and Cayla Simpson

“Waken your elemental form.”

Journeys is an improvisational ritual of movement and imagination. Co-created by Camille and interdisciplinary artist Cayla Mae Simpson, these sessions are open to all bodies and experience levels. They begin with a nourishing warm-up, followed by a 30-minute mythical dance flow where participants embody elements, animals, and energy through guided improvisation. Camille and Cayla are currently deepening and developping journeys independently in their separate geographic places and continue to be inspired by the echoes of their work together. Co-facilitated residencies and workshops are still offered upon request, please contact us directly.

About the Collaboration

Shortly after meeting in rural northern New Mexico, Camille and Cayla began dancing together—organically merging stories, animacy, and the sheer joy of moving. Theirshared lineage of earth-based performance and mythic embodiment gave birth to Dance Journeys, which has since become a shared offering for communities and creatives alike.
